Those who uphold the ideals of Juche-Buddhist friendship in north California practice meditative solidarity with the community of Haeju, whose people were threatened with the chaos of war during 2010.
Haeju is a provincial capital of Hwanghae-Namdo province in Korea and has been blessed to be under the realm of the Great Leader whose lasting legacy is the Juche idea whose foundation is the People of Korea themselves.
Haeju has kept in many manners it's ancient morality system based on Buddha philosophy which the Korean people adopted long long time ago as a reflection of their morals and natural character, which today is exemplified by the Juche idea which, similar to the ancient system adopted by the Korea People, enables them to achieve a greater consciousness of preserving their cultural spirit.

A Haeju-ban personal dining table (Soban, or Personal Dining tables from Haeju, North Korea) are among the most highly prized of Korean small antique furniture pieces. This is an example with openwork Buddhist symbols on each side.
